Notting Hill Carnival London, United Kingdom, 2025

On the 25th August 2025 I attended Notting Hill Carnival for the first time. The adult parade kicked off in the morning with thousands spectating, filling the streets with music and joy. More than 2 million people were estimated to have attended the second largest street party in the world across 2 days.

The Metropolitan Police made 423 arrests over the 2 days, reaching a 6-year high. Measures such as facial recognition cameras and knife detection machines were used to deter crime and anti-social behaviour from being committed.
